Miss Norma’s Diary – November 22, 1960 – ” he said it didn’t mean a thing because he doesn’t like her”

Tuesday

“Today I went to school and after school Connie and me went down the street. We was going to the drug store and we saw Benny, Brian and Verne in Vic Tanny’s. So, they waved but I wouldn’t wave back.

Brian told me later that Benny was making out with Bonnie and he said he was too but he said it didn’t mean anything.

At night, Benny called me up and said, ‘I found out why you was mad at me, it was because I made out with Bonnie.’ and he said it didn’t mean a thing because he doesn’t like her. Barbara said that either Henry or Larry said that I said I like him and he said I was going to ask him to go steady.”
