Miss Norma’s Diary – October 3, 1960 – “He was just standing there staring at me”

Monday

“Today I went to school and Connie I didn’t want her to go because I thought Warren would flirt with her but he didn’t seem to. He was still looking at me. After school, Connie and I saw Warren going into his house. As soon as we walked by his house, he came out with this little boy and they went up to the school. Later, Connie and I went down the street. On the way home, we went by Warren’s house, we didn’t see him but then Connie saw him walking out of the school ground. Just then, a dog started coming towards us and Connie started running because she is scared to death of dogs. Then I started running. We ran across the street. Then Warren saw us. Connie was still running and I stopped and looked back to see if the dog was still coming and the dog wasn’t even there anymore. But then I saw Warren.

He was just standing there staring at me. . .

. . .I don’t know what he must of thought but he just kept staring. I watched Warren and he watched me till we were both out of sight. At night, I stayed home. I don’t want to go to school tomorrow and face Warren.”
