“Today Barbara, Connie and I went down to the miniature golf course and Vern was there. Barbara and I got a coke and then all of us went down by Hardie’s house and the rest of the day we just goofed off. When I came home with Mommy and Daddy in the morning, Marie and Bob was here and . . .

Then later, he called again but I wasn’t home then either. . . 

. . .At night, Barbara, Connie and I went to the show to see ‘13 Ghosts and Demons”. When we got there is was dark inside and I kept hearing somebody calling my name. Then later, I went up with Barb to get something and on the way down I saw Vern. He was calling my name. He came down and sat by us. Then later, he sat by Rafferd. Then pretty soon I said, ‘I wish Warren was here’ and no sooner I said that when Connie said, ‘There’s Warren!’ And I got all shook up because Warren and Vern was both there. Later, Vern and Rafferd came down and sat behind us. Vern kept talking to me when 13 Ghosts was on. I got real scared and I would keep going up and getting a drink of water and Vern would say, ‘What’s the matter, Norma? Are you scared?’ And I would smile at him.

The first time I went up with Barbara and we were walking down the aisle, Barbara pushed me over by Warren and I hit his arm with my purse. Every time we went up there (which was about every 10 minutes) Warren would stare at me. He would turn around and watch me walk up the aisle. When the show was over, I looked for Warren but I couldn’t find him. But I did see Vern and he said, ‘How did you like the movie?’ Vern didn’t have his glasses on tonight and I don’t know how he could see because he couldn’t see the other night down at the miniature golf course. This afternoon, Barb, Connie and I to La Jolla because when we were down at the miniature golf course this morning, we left right before Loren did and we walked real slow so he would drive by us. So, when he drove by he waved and I waved back. So, we ran down to the bus stop and went to La Jolla. When we walked by his house for the last time before they left, I yelled, ‘Loren’ real loud and then Connie yelled it.
