Sunday
“Today Barbara and I were out most of the day. We went out at 1:00 and we got back at 6:30. We went down at the miniature golf course for a while and Loren was there. Then later, Vern and Tony came and said something to Vern and the Vern said, ‘Norma, Lance wants you to come up to the apartment’ and I shook my head ‘no’ and then Vern said, ‘Hey Norma, how did you like the movie last night?’ Then later, Vern and Tony left, Barbara and I tried to find them but we couldn’t. Then pretty soon, Vern came back and then I thought he left again so Barb and I went to look. When we came back, Vern came out of the bathroom. Then later, Tony and Vern said to Ray,
‘We’re going down to the beach. We’ll be at the high bars.’
So later, Barbara and I went down there and we saw them. We started walking down to the water and then Vern starting yelling my name. Barb waved and then we walked down to the north beach. Later, we went back to the M.G. And pretty soon, Vern came then later, Tony came. A few hours later, Vern and Tony left. They said they were going down to the beach again. So, as soon as they left, we left and we ran as fast as we could and we got down there and got down there before they did. So, when they got down there, Vern whistled and told us to come over there but we went down to the water. Then we went up to swing. They came over and started swinging so we went back down to the water and when we came back, we went over to the teeter totters and Vern said, ‘Where are you going?’ and Barb said, ‘We’re gonna teeter totter.’ So, they came over with us.
Then Ray came pretty soon. So, I said to Barbara, ‘Let’s go.’ So, we started to leaved and Vern said, ‘Where are you going?’ and we said, ‘Back up to the M.G.’ and then Vern asked me if I was going to the Roxy next week and I said, ‘yes’. And then he said, ‘Okay, I’ll meet you there’ And then we left. Before that, we started swinging. It started raining and I said, ‘I’m not going to stand here and get wet.’ So, we started to leave and Vern said, ‘Where you going?’ and I said, ‘To Oscars.’ Before that, Vern wasn’t at the miniature golf course so we went to the drug store and got a book on Troy Donahue. Then it started raining again. So, we went down to the M.G. But Vern still wasn’t there. So, every once in a while, I would look down the street to see if he was coming. So, when I looked once here comes Vern and Tony and Vern said, “HP! Norma.”
