Then we saw this dog in front of us and Connie started getting scared and I said, ‘I’ll protect you, little sister.’ So, when we walked on the dog ran at us so I ran down the street the other way and Connie ran the other way.

Today at 2:00 o’clock, I got up and Bonnie called me up and said to meet her at the beach so I did. Verne, Benny & Wayne was at the beach. Verne keeps talking to me but he can’t like me because he is going steady with Connie. Anyway, later when we was at the golf course, Connie and Shannon came and Verne asked me where I was going and I said ‘home’. When I got home only Bill was home.

Somehow we started talking about the party and then who my boyfriend was . . .

. . .then Connie and Verne, then about me finding a real good guy someday. Then, I went in the bedroom and started crying and right now I am crying. I don’t know how I can be but I really love Verne a lot.

“Today me, Connie and Barb went down town. We got back at 3:00 o’clock and planned a party in about 30 minutes. It starts at 7:00 o’clock. It was a flop at first and later Verne asked me if when you wanted to go steady with a girl do you giver her a cross and I said ‘yes’ so Connie has his cross. I wanted to dance so bad once so I asked Butch to dance. Then he kept dancing then everybody started goofing off and making out. So, Butch and I was sitting on the chair and somebody pulled us off the chair and we landed on the corner and he kissed me. From then on I was his. When Benny and Ray came and put their arm around me, Butch came over and he kissed me. Then Ray kept bothering me and tripping me and told him I was gonna kick the shit out of him and he still kept bothering me.

Later, I kicked him in the butt and he pushed me down on the bed and he wouldn’t let me up but he finally did.

Then we came out of the bedroom and everybody said, ‘what were you doing in there Norma?’ Later, the guys were Indian wrestling and Butch pulled me down on the floor and started kissing me and Wayne said, ‘right in public’ and I slapped Wayne. Connie’s father broke up the party at 11: o’clock and an hour earlier than it was supposed to. Norma + Butch”
