“Today we got up and ate breakfast. Then later we went bowling. We bowled a couple of games and then we went down the street. Sallie asked this girl if it was hot enough for her and she gave her the finger. Then the girl came over to Sallie and she asked her what she said and Sallie said, ‘Is is hot enough for you?’ And the girl called her a queer. So they followed us and we were in a head and we started to leave and that girl wouldn’t let Sharon out so Sharon pushed her out of the way then she pushed back and Sharon pushed harder and walked away. At night we went to the drive-in. We sat outside on the benches and we smoked a pack and a half of cigs.”
