Miss Norma’s Diary – December 16, 1961 – “Little Hick rang it up and gave me the change back and he touched my hand”

Saturday

“Today Barbara had to work. I walked down the street by myself and everybody was whistling at me. When I got to the record store, Barbara and I went over to the Pit. Little Hick was in there and he was talking to Bobby. Barb and I went up there and Bobby said ‘don’t you want any French fries?’ So, we got a coke and Little Hick rang it up and gave me the change back and he touched my hand Big deal. But it got me jazzed. He kept looking at me too. When we were sitting down Little Hick was sitting down too at the back table. He kept looking at us. Every time I look back at him he would be looking at me. At night I stayed home and watched television.”
